HR Generalist

Location: Carlsbad, CA

SUMMARY:

The HR Generalist will be responsible for full cycle recruitment, new hire on-boarding, terminations, employee relations, H1B immigration administration, workers compensation, benefits administration, training and development, and compensation administration.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure facility is compliant with relevant local, state, and federal employment laws, with particular emphasis on California employment laws
• Assists management in the recruiting process to include job description development and managing full cycle recruiting processes to include posting job openings, reviewing resumes, performing phone interviews
• New hire on-boarding to include completion of all new hire paperwork, E-verify processing, background checks, and benefit enrollments
• Collaborate with benefit brokers for annual open enrollment meetings and resolution of benefit issues
• Responsible for managing H1B immigration for several employees
• Manage compensation benchmarking for all salary adjustments and newly created positions
• Identify training needs within the organization and find appropriate training resources; facilitate training as needed
• Counsel and coach employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, discipline and/or terminations

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
• Experience with all Microsoft applications, ATS, internet, recruiting experience
• PHR/SPHR certification desired
• Minimum 5-8 years of Human Resources experience
• Technology Industry experience a plus
